FREEE BROADBAND W/O THE GOV'T

Most of these comments are good, real good, but I kinda get a little worried when the gov't decides to give a helping hand to a system. There should be free broadband internet for everybody regardless of income. It is getting so that people actually need the internet and have trouble getting it even when they are paying anywhere from $40 to $100 a month!!! Change deceptive "Mbps" to the industry standard "MBps".

Most people do not know the difference. The former is Megabits per second, the latter is Megabytes per second. 1Mbps is 8 times slower than 1MBps. For quite some time now, the byte has been the standard for measurement in computing. It's quite deceptive to consumers to advertise with a non-standard form of measurement that most people don't even know there is a difference. It gets confusing to me sometimes. If I need ...more »
